San Diego Zoo

Also on Lance's spring break we drove down to visit Josh and Erin and got to go to the San Diego Zoo.  It was a blast!

Catalina Island

During Lance's spring break this year, we used an awesome Groupon that Josh and Erin found to take a boat ride out to Catalina Island for a couple days and then ride back.  My mom watched Ellie for us and we had such an amazing time just the two of us!  While we love our little girl SO much, it was nice to be able to sleep through the night for a couple days :).  We stayed in Avalon on the island and had a ton of fun exploring that little town.  We went snorkeling the first day (too bad, no pics!) and saw a ton of Garibaldis swimming around and lots of other fish I don't know the names of.  The second day we went hiking for most of the day and found this trail that took us up high enough to see both sides of the island at the same time.  Lance was sure he saw a whale... (it was like a little tiny dot).  But anyways, we had a ton of fun enjoying nature and each other's company.

Our New Pets...

We recently had two new additions to the family... we got two bearded dragons!  They are in Ellie's room.  (Lance wanted to put them there so they could protect Ellie from danger... like she was a princess locked in a tower or something haha) So far they don't have names yet but we are working on that.  They are fun!

today I just want to say happy birthday to my best friend.  you mean everything to me and you make my life so happy.  I am grateful every day to have you in my life and I feel so lucky that you picked me to be with you forever.  happy birthday Lance!

Latest Adventures with Ellie!

Ellie is now 7 months!  It is so crazy how time flies.  She seems so big to us now!  She is a long, skinny little girl.  We think she burns all that fat by how active she is.  She is always crawling around and standing up and trying to climb.  She definitely keeps us on our toes.  She is usually very happy and is so fun to be around!  I feel so grateful that I get to be her mom and spend all my time with her.  No pictures yet, but she has two bottom teeth!  They came in about a week ago after a little grumpiness and teething.

Christmastime

We had a great Christmas!  This year we spent Christmas Eve and Christmas day with my family.  On the 23, we went with Lance's family to Griffith Park and to Griffith Observatory.  We had a blast with them!
